John Young is participating in the exhibition, 'Chinese Australia' at Ausin Tang Gallery. He is exhibiting alongside artists Zhong Chen, Chonggang Du, Song Ling, Lindy Lee, Kordelya Zhansui Chi, Zhou Xiaoping, Robin Eley, Owen Leong, Cyrus Tang and Pei Pei He. The exhibition is curated by Venita Poblocki.

Passages, an upcoming exhibition at TarraWarra Museum of Art Victoria curated by Maudie Palmer, invites three senior practitioners - novelist Brian Castro, furniture designer Khai Liew and artist John Young - to create a unique empathic space that interweaves their concerns into an installed form. The exhibition will coincide with performances by Richard Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

Finding Kenneth Myer, a tapestry commissioned by the senior Myer siblings to commemorate the life and achievements of their oldest brother Kenneth Baillieu Myer AC DSC, will be presented to the National Library of Australia on 2 December 2011. The tapestry was designed by John Young and woven by the Australian Tapestry Workshop.
